Technology Manager- Informations Technology

The IS Technology Manager is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external hospital customers by providing a variety of technology services. The IS Technology Manager oversees Help Desk support, hardware maintenance and purchases, the network, Intranet and Internet support, and serves as the Facility Information Security Officer. The IS Technology Manager, using critical problem solving skills, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software and application issues and manages staff members in their roles. The IS Technology Manager, in coordination with the Director of Clinical Informatics and the Leadership Team, plan the long term direction of IS technology. This person performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies and operates with minimal supervision.Essential FunctionsPerforming all position duties and responsibilities in accordance with standards of Joint Commission and WRMC's performance evaluation and competency assessment policies. Communicates clearly and effectively with internal and external hospital customers. Coordinates the planning and daily operations of information technology: a. accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. b. maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. c. oversees all types of technology including but not limited to: telecommunications, audio/visual equipment, iPads, tablets, workstations, servers, etc. d. completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with departments and data center. e. preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, and back-up procedures and information security and control structures. f. recommends information technology strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; and anticipating requirements. g. maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench marking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies. h. accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; participating in budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective action. i. works with members of the LifePoint Healthcare Resource Center (HSC) as needed to support integration of infrastructure between WRMC and HSC. FISO (Facility Information Security Officer) duties include: a. Oversight and implementation of LifePoint and facility Information Security Programs. b. Facility compliance with LifePoint Information Security policies, procedures, standards, and toolkits. c. Management of information security initiatives, including, but not limited to, setting up userIDs, resetting passwords, maintaining user security profiles, and coordinating ongoing support of the facility Information Security Program. May delegate to local security coordinators (LSC). d. Coordination with department managers to ensure appropriate information security procedures are integrated into department operations. e. Working with the Privacy Officer and Compliance Officers to ensure alignment between information security and privacy and compliance practices. f. Receives, documents, tracks, investigates, and takes action on suspected information security breaches and complaints concerning Information Security policies, procedures, and standards. Reports incidents to the HSC Security department. g. Maintaining knowledge of applicable federal and statesecurity laws and accreditation standards, and monitoring advancements in informationsecuritytechnologies to ensure facility adaptation and compliance. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5 years' experience in information systems, preferably in a health care setting. Supervisory experience required. Experience in health care setting preferred.Supervisory experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
