Description:
Board Assembly - 2nd shift
Position is responsible for work in any of the assembly, prep, shipping, receiving and repair areas. This may include populating boards, testing, assembling, shipping functions, receiving functions, and repair of internal and external customer orders.
Worker should also expect to flex into Drives business area as business needs demand. Therefore, worker must al so meet the minimum Standing / lifting requirements for Drives assembly
Electronic assembly includes:
o Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and following work instructions
o Use measuring equipment, test equipment and hand tools as needed
o Read and interpret drawings and blueprints
o Pick parts based on production schedule
o Soldering and de-soldering
o Maintain and support a safe, clean work environment
o May be asked to perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary
Sitting / Standing:
o Worker should expect to flex into Drives business area to meet business demands. Therefore, worker must be able to Stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
Lifting / Carrying:
o Duration is frequent throughout the day; up-to 25-lbs.
o Infrequent lifting of up-to 35-lbs is occasionally required.
o Lifting up-to 50-lbs will be required when flexing into Drives area.
Hands (Grasp / Pinch / Finger Dexterity) is Essential:
o Must be able to grasp and use tools, some small in size
o Must be able to handle components and parts; some intricate
o Must be able to pick and place small or intricate components.
PPE Required:
o Safety glasses must be worn
o Safety shoes are required at all times.
